Even with $ 0.99 bid one would be under water, if attempting somewhat proper restoration (?), assuming the new owner would be able to do most of the work him/herself without any labor costs. And assuming, of course, that the $ 0.99 would be the winning bid. , but true.

Thanks for the heads up, but that's pretty scary. I know of a 308 project (with everything) that can probably be had for around $15K, and even then, it's a risk!

Does one of the chassis (big) tubes looks square and not oval ?
