bad car days

Post by Bryan P »

Tom - it sounds like you had one of those days where even the rush you normally get from working on a vintage Ferrari got soured. Work stuff, family stuff, and then a recalcitrant part of the car combine to be a big downer.
My day yesterday under the car was just like that, crappy work issues clouded the mind, and then I couldn't get the filler plug out of the side of the transmission. A past mechanic had far, far, overtightened it, and the designer had to be british (I'm allowed to say that, having skinned knuckles on british sports cars for almost 30 years) given the location of the damn thing.

On the other hand, I got to lay under a vintage Ferrari for a good part of the day!

hang in there, it's looking great.

Hi Bryan,

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I guess any time working on the Ferrari is a good thing, but sometimes even that can be a battle! The nice thing about this journal is seeing all the positive days of work, and it reminds me there were more good days than bad days!
