It will no doubt need to be taken completely apart and rebuilt if it has really just been sitting there for 6 years. Why on earth would someone go to all the trouble to rebuild it and then put in on "static display"?

fire it up

the 'test stand' is cool...

I could put it right in my Living Room
(being single has it's advantages)
merely cut some holes in the wall
for the exhaust pipes
and I could then be able to 'fire it up'
when the urge struck
and listen to that beautiful music
any time I want!

Most likely it will end up in a custom rod. I saw one a couple of years ago with a GTC/4 and it was pretty neat.

I wonder if anyone has ever put a Ferrari engine in a ski or jet boat (anyone see the movie "One Crazy Summer"?).

I've heard lots of roaring V8's, but never a wide-open V-12 with short-pipes blowing across the water -- now that would be music!

There are Lamborghini engined speed boats, but haven't seen any Ferrari powered boats yet.

I could have sworn I saw Riva Yachts using Ferrari motors at a Boat show display.

ferrari did make a speedboat, in conjunction with arno

http://www.shipshopfalmouth.co.uk/html/ ... racer.html

i don't know much about it, just saw a picture once, and this thread reminded me of this. must have been early-mid fifties, judging from the looks. and probably a v12 as well.

There were a few Ferrari V-12 powered hydroplanes built in the 50s. I saw one of them on display at the big Paris Retromobile show about 6 years back ... but my memory of the details has dimmed. I'm pretty sure Cavallino has done an article on them.
