As to clamps anyone have any radiator hose size Surflex clamps (on C4s and some 400s) I need 5 of the bloody things

Hello, I want to get a full complement of these clamps for my PF coupe from XK’s Unlimited, but they do not sell these as a set for the Ferrari and I do not know how many of which size I’ll need. Does anyone have a chart or can give me some guidance? Also, is the XK’s stock correct in shape, coloring and quality?
I apologize if I am asking this question for a second time, I do not recall if I have. Thanks in advance.

John: Another alternative is to find a Jaguar wrecking yard and buy them. Beadblast and replate them. Usually you can buy them very cheaply.

Also, can you tell me the correct look? I have seen them in bright finish and I have seen them in duller, darker finish.

John,Tim: At least if you use the old Jag clamps, you know you are using "period correct" clamps. I suspect there are differences today. In that era, the clamps were cad plated. Today, I would bet they are bright zinc. originally, they were not shiny at all, sort of a dull, satin finish. I always had mine zinc plated and told the plater to do "poor" job. That way they looked appropriate, and lasted much longer than the cad.

Yes, the ones XK sells are bright zinc.
Dyke, the heater hose clamps and the four tiny cylinder head hose clamps are the twist-on type, correct? They are not Cheney.

John: I will tell you my deep dark secret to hose clamps. The factory did things for a reason. If the clamp has to be loosened to remove the engine, it is a Cheney clamp. If the clamp can stay in place, it is a cotter key (copiglia). There, you now have the ultimate Ferrari knowledge, go forth with confidence.

Thanks Dyke, so that steel water manifold at the front, does that get lifted out of the car along with the engine? You tend to see the cotter pin type clamps around this particular area.

John: Being a little more serious, obviously, before Ferrari adopted Cheney clamps, they used the cotter key clamps in lots more applications. Recall, the front water pipes were probably attached to the engines before the engine was lowered into the car on the assembly line. I am sure you could find photos of this if you did some searching.
