First of all I would like to say that this is probably one of the best Ferrai sites on the web, especialy for DIY ers.
I noticed in the pictorial on removing the engine that a sling was used to remove the engine, and is shown, it worked great. An alternative that I used was to fabricate a 1/2 inch by 2 inch by 24 inch steel bar with holes drilled in it to fit over the studs for the intake manifolds. In between these holes I drilled and tapped(1/2-13 NC) holes for fastening one or two eyebolts. Being that the 250 & early 330 engines had 4 motor mounts this arrangement allowed the engine to be lifted straight out of the compartment. Hope this helps some of you in the future.
