I searched the archives, but I am somewhat stuck.
I am trying to remove the door panel on my 63 250 GTE. I got the top trim panel off (two screws), the door handle (simple bolt), the vent window knob and trim ring, but I am having one heck of a time getting the window crank off the door panel. There are no screws, the trim ring does not turn on a thread, there seems to be no clearance for the inner circle of trim ring to pop off.... I feel pretty stupid, but I do not want to force things in the wrong direction.
I am assuming that I can leave the arm rest in place, and that the panel itself is held bu the intersecting steel tabs (2 or three). There seem to be no plastic inserts or screws holding the panel to the door.
I need to fix my window mechanism (overwound it in the wrong direction), and my door lock (tumbler spins freely, so I expect to find a loose nut, or a circlip).
Thanks in advance

Hmmm......Your post sent me to the dictionary.
Did I get this right?
There are two circles (trim rings) and the handle. If I push the outer circle back, this reveals a pin (key) that orevents the crank handle from sliding off the shaft?

I did an image search on google (very cool feature) for a woodruff key. I think I know what to look for:
