Nuts

Post by John Vardanian »

I am looking for a few M8.0x1.0 nuts that are 12mm in width, like those used for holding down the carburetors. This nut can be pretty common but in 1.25 pitch. Does anyone know a supplier? Thanks for your help.

These are DIN 934, so 13mm wrench, not 12mm across the flats. The 12mm ones will be hard to find.

Thanks Kerry -- I didn't know how to translate the DIN code. Maybe these would work (would require cutting off the tops and zinc plating): http://www.ebay.com/itm/25-M8-1-0-Exhau ... e7&vxp=mtr

Hi Peter,

The finish for these nuts on the carbs is Black Oxide. Just buy them from Neil at Newco.

Aren´t the black oxide screws to hold the carbs down for 12.5 mm wrenches?

At least, thats what i have in mind and newco for sale!

I have to admit I usually call Niel to order parts, and don't reference the website. I believe they're supposed to be 12mm across the flats, and black oxide, with a black oxide wave washer underneath.
