GTC rear pillar question

Post by Steve Meltzer »

There's some sort of ventilation system with a sliding knob inside the rear pillar (between rear 1/4 window and rear glass). Is there supposed to be some sort of trim piece surrounding the mechanism, or is it supposed to look more unfinished? Here's a shot of mine. Looks pretty rough to me.
thanx. steve

Steve: What you have is original, based upon my failing memory.

It is supposed to to be glued up inside of the opening which makes it a more finished item. Yours like mine has come loose.

Terry, thanx so much. I fear this will drift to the bottom of the "to do" list. s

The vent slots on my car are nicely stitched up, it's a later car made in 1968. Is it possible there were complaints in the day and this was the solution?

If I am remembering correctly my 365GT2+2 had the stichting like that.
