250/330 rear spring bolts

Post by klv »

Hello again - after a bit of assistance/information

As you may be aware now, I'm at Maranello Classic Parts and one of the (many) projects we have on the go is creating some parts books for cars that didn't have them originally - along with arranging production of 'missing' parts. I'm currently investigating rear spring bolts - frame to shackle and shackle to spring bolts and the torque reaction/trailing arm to frame bolts (for starters) and we have some conflicting information on what the cars have.

Original part numbers:
frame to shackle bolt - 241-24-012-90
shackle to spring bolt - 241-24-006-90 (hollow one with grease nipple)
trailing arm bolt to frame - 241-24-037-90
We've got some updated numbers here as well, but that might just confuse the situation. Trying to reconcile the Factory drawings we've been supplied with what's actually fitted to the cars, so that we can produce new ones...

Cheers

I might be able to help here Andrew. We have a 330GT series 1 (5465GT) and the rear suspension is on the bench at the moment and about to be refitted. I also have another here in the process of restoration (6777GT) so can refer to that one also. I'm not sure exactly what you need to know but I'm happy to help if I can (I am the manager at Bell Classics in Luton in the UK). I'll call you on Monday to talk it through.

Simon has been most helpful with this! The Factory technical diagrams we have were not clear on the bolts for the rear springs and the torque reaction arms and we are now working it all out properly. The parts books are often a bit sketchy in this era as you all probably know. Always learning more!
