If the reservoir is a Girling, perhaps this vendor may be able to assist > http://www.compbrake.com/product/girlin ... voirs-cap/

or perhaps there is a domestic source, or eBay, etc.

Thank you, I am need an original lid with patina or a whole unit.

I bought this thinking I would replace the entire unit. It arrived yesterday and it is obviously inferior quality and it is not identical to the unit that went on the Ferraris:

Thanks

See what you mean, perhaps this may be what is needed, or closer to what your vehicle needs > http://www.ferraricraft.com/tag/gte/

Apologies for the additional post, but perhaps this has the correct patina > http://saxonparts.com/ferrari-250-reser ... ake-fluid/

Thanks for the additional references. Around 1963-64 the metal cans gave way to plastic. My car is a 1964 model.

Perhaps this search on eBay will yield some possible results > http://www.ebay.tv/sch/eBay-Motors-/600 ... der&_frs=1

May have to communicate with seller(s) to confirm dimensions of cap to assure fit, but a period correct NOS cap may be available this way.

Good Hunting for a great car.

Thanks for that. The Girling ones look the part for sure, they are aged and yellowed, which is good. I might get one. The only shortcoming is the script is in English.

Thanks. I think the NOS ones are the better choice.
