330 GTC Horn Motor Cover

Postby enio45 » Sat Dec 24, 2016 11:04 am

Looking for any info you may have for me to make repo horn covers.

I do have a few questions....

Why are these not on the 330 GT car but on the 330 GTC cars? They are mounted the same location, same horn and same hose routing?

IS the top side of it removable or fullycovered and lastly how does it say on?

Hi Ed,

My GT330 #8741 also had the horn compressor cover made of white plastic but painted black. Right now it is out. So when you need detailed dimensions let me know. Here another pic from this forum.

But I wonder why they covered the horn compressor with this plastic cup not giving any more access to the oil nipple to lubricate the compressor.

Kerry Chesbro - you got your ears on??

I recall many yrs back when i got my 330 GT and we had a discussion about horn covers....and seem to remember that you felt
that there was not a cover on the GT horn motors....not sure if you recall this, but appreciate your thoughts and experience with
the 330GT cars......??

Other 330 GT cars have this horn cover?

Another wonder is the only way to take the cover off is to remove the barbed hose nipple, and that is hard to remove too if the red hose has taken a set on the barb.
