250 GTE front suspension - rubber missing or is this normal?

Post by Melchior »

Hello,

I changed all existing rubber parts from my 250 GTE front suspension and then this came to my intention: there is a whole where I think that a rubber should absorb the shocks from the upper part. When I had a look in the parts list I found #16305423 - rectangular upper pad front suspension. Can anyone tell me if this is the rubber which should be placed here?

Thank you and regards,

Martin

The 330 GT uses the same part. It is 64816 per the Ferrari parts book.

You can also get them from the domestic parts suppliers.
These are very hard to press in but you can use the springs' might to your advantage. Try weighing the front of the car until you have enough space to guide the pieces in and aligned with the holes. Then slowly take the load of the suspension and the springs should do the job of driving them in place. Use lubricant. Watch out for your fingers.
