How does the original Veglia Borletti clock for 250 Gte S3 look like?

Dear All, dear Tom,

How does the original Veglia Borletti clock for 250 Gte S3 look like? I have seen different ones. Some have the wheel to set the time at the front, some have it at the side, meaning adjustement is done under the dash.

Some have Veglia some Veglia Borletti written on it. Some have the inscript on top, others at the bottom.

I need to find one and would like to know what is original and what not.

Thanks a lot.

Christopher

Hi Chris,

There are also two types, one is electro-mechanical, and the other one is purely mechanical. I would assume the SIII cars had the electro-mechanical ones where they are wound automatically with voltage. The purely mechanical clocks have a stalk that winds and sets the time and pokes through the bottom of the dash through a small hole in the leather knee pad. I usually find the mechanical ones on SI and maybe the SII cars. Again, Ferrari probably transitioned the change at some point.

I'll try to take some pictures of clocks.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the fast answer. I have no hole under the dash where the clock mounts and the wiring for the clock looks original and comparable to the wiring diagram I have from Kerry for the 330/America. So I guess my clock should be like the one for your car - electro-mechanical.

Would you have a photo of yours for me? How is it wired? One white feed cable for clock and one white feed for light?

Thanks a lot.

Cheers
Chris
