2+2 resto - congrats tom

Post by enio45 »

Tom,

It would be a fun car to do - what is the serial number of the car?

best thing about the car is that it looks to be all together and original so you can validate and focus on body to trim fit before taking it apart. If anything requires modification, now is the time to do the mods and refit it before you tear everything apart.

I see the bumpers are missing or do you have them?

Good luck - is black the orig color?

Hey Ed,

This is my car. She’s missing a few parts busy mostly there. Maybe Tom could feature your bracket for the coolant overflow tank you sold me in one of his posts. It’s by far the beat looking part in the car.

Hi Guys,

This should be a fun project and we all get to follow along. I'm swamped with work right now, but am working on making space for all the parts before I blow it apart. Stay tuned!

Interesting data point on your car

My car was the Geneva Auto Show - floor car with a GTC and GTS car on display....also in the 1966 year book

Enio 45,

How does the driving experience of your Ellena and your 330 compare?
I have a sweet spot for ellena as well.

We should try to meet for a photo shoot with the 66 Turin, Geneva and Paris show cars!

I have not gotten much road time yet on the Ellena - so i dont know yet, however the feel on the road driving lightly was pretty good, solid and stable.

The 330 2+2 = beautiful riding car, good balance and handling.

YEs that would be good for a photo shot, i have some things to finish on my 2+2 car.....but after that - yes

where u located?

Well, I’m in the US, but my 330 is in Paris.
I might bring it to the US, though import tax is a bit a deterrent...
But the car is great and it’s a joy to drive.
With jet lag I can drive the car through paris at night empty and that’s precious...
