Fork lift and lathe

Post by 330GT »

"I needed to use this forklift to move some heavy equipment, so it was time to get her up and running again."

Now we know the 'heavy equipment'.

Good to see old equipment getting back in use.

Hi Kerry,

The real story is I also bought a Bridgeport Vertical Mill! Moving that 3000 lbs beast would have been much harder without a Forklift. I haven't written about it because I first have to get it wired into my shop and then I have to fix it before I even begin learning how to use it. The price was right, but it's going to need some effort on many fronts to become useful. I know it will come in handy and besides it's a cool piece of machinery. Just like a forklift, it sure comes in handy when you need it. I've already used it to move a dead car in my shop (pulling with a strap, not with the forks). My machines have to earn their keep in my shop!
