Brake rotor crossover

Post by Rob330 »

Hi Guys ,

I understand that the brake system on my 1964 330GT shares some components with some Jaguars of the same vintage.

It looks like the emergency brake pads are the same as a XK150 and some of the hardware too but do the brake rotors interchange also ?
It is much easier for me to get Jag parts from an English car supplier in Canada than getting Ferrari parts shipped to
me from the US or Europe.
I have new master cylinders but I will have to get new hoses. I don't expect those to crossover . I have had all the caliper pistons re sleeved
by a brake rebuilder locally.

Any help is appreciated . Rob

Greetings... Caliper kits are available from your local British supplier. I've bought them from British Parts Northwest. Don't remembr the parts number as my shop is about a mile away but they should be able to go from diameter.

Hi All,

All brake hoses are interchangeable between 250 Gte and Jaguar.
Brake pads rear are Jaguar E S1/2
Handbrake pads are Jag Mk1
Front pads are unique to Ferrari, Iso,...
Brake hose front are Mk2 S-Typ/Mk1
Rear brake hose is Mk2/ 250 V8

Do not think discs will fit but worth a try to compare.
Hope this helps.

Ferrari's mount with eight 8mm studs. I believe Jag mounts with five SAE studs.

Thanks for all the help , the rotors on some models look real close but the bolt holes are different . There is
a huge price difference but considering having to buy 8 rotors for the 2 cars it really can add up.

I may order one rotor in and compare the dimensions. I will keep you updated.
