What are the missing part names and numbers?

Post by C.Flint »

I would be most grateful for your assistance. On my 1969 365 GT 2+2, there appear to be two missing parts. The first is a simple cover that is on the underside of the clutch/tranny. It is not part number 50820 (shown in the clutch fiche) but the cover immediately to the rear as shown in the first photo.

The second item appears to be a box-like cover which goes over an electrical junction in the engine bay, on the front part of the inner sidewall as shown in the second photo.

Any assistance would be helpful!

Hi Chris,

The timing cover is a simple piece of aluminum sheet metal with a hole in it to clear the screw. It's pretty easy to fabricate.

The junction cover is a little harder to find as I think there were different versions through the model run.

Thanks Tom. I will make the timing cover. If someone can post a photo of the electrical junction cover (or a link to one), I could have an idea of what I should be looking for.

Try Kerry from the 330 register (330gt.com) or look at his pictorial encyclopedia. If you do not find the info you are looking for at 330gt contact Kerry. He knows 330‘s inside out.

The 365 junction cover is different from the ones on the 330.

Perhaps these photos will be of some use along with link to auction of a 1970 365 GT 2+2:

Thanks for these photos. It looks like I can make a simple 8”x4” open-bottom aluminum cover with two mounting studs and some knurled knobs. I really appreciate the help. Chris
