Noticed a few drops of coolant dripping down , seems to come from directly over the fuel pump.
2 findings:
one ( which is dry) is this wedge shaped discoloration which may be nothing, as in dirt from an uneven casting on the housing.
the other: is the coolant when running and warm seems to drip out of the bottom of this area near the gasket between Pump and what appears to be a spacer ( not shown on the parts diagram?)
If thats all this is, is it a matter or R&R and replacing the gasket... or should I do more while there?
second... that thing that looks like a spacer.... any thoughts ( why, is it needed, etc)?
I understand the shaft needs to not come out!

Re: Water pump leak?? need some advice
Hi Michael,
It's probably leaking from the weep hole because of the water pump seal. Even if it is the gasket, the water pump would have to come out and the seal replaced.
