330GT console

Post by 330GT »

From the current FML:
RETIREMENT SALE PHASE 2: large collection of 250, 275 and 330 parts
accumulated over 50 years. Wide selection of accessories, instruments,
lights, brakes, body panels, steering and suspension parts, etc. Photo inventory available. 4621
Suzie Pilkington, suziepilk@gmail.com, +447811 159066 (UK)

Steve Pilkington (Suzie's late husband) parted out many 'less desirable' Ferraris to make replicas. So perhaps Suzie might have a 330GT console.

hello Karry,

Suzie Pilkinton is his daughter not his wife.

Steve has Alzheimer very sad .

he did own almost every org 250GT CAR including an org GTO ,TDF ,LUSSO &. 5PF 6GTE etc.

after. restauration his org california spyder he was shocked about the quality of Scaglietti´s work .

very bad welding, body gaps. interior etc etc.

especially also on this Lusso and TDF he told me.

what we see now on shows has nothing to do with the org car that are delivered at those time.

simply complete over restaurated compared to the org cars.

so he started after this retirement to build better carl spiders for his friend and customers on PF AND GTE chasis.

I do mis the regular phonecalls with him.

somebody you could rely on.

concerning this topic:
maybe its an good idea to start an little "corner" fore TY readers and friends a kind if part exchange ore searching side/corner.
so that other readers can maybe sell here some spares who are left overs.
and spent 10 procent of the deal at the end of the year to support this side better than ebay support I think.

only a thought

best
C.

Hello Cornelis,

sad about Steve Pilkington but very good idea about the parts corner. Would make sense.

All the best

HI Cornelis,

I will consider creating a member's area for items for sale. I'll work on it over the Xmas break.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Given this thread seems to be largely about my father, can I just clarify he is still alive. He does have advanced Alzheimer’s, which is horrible to witness

He only ever parted out PF Coupes to make LWB Cal Spyder- he did however buy a lot of secondhand Ferrari parts, over the years and notably in the early days of eBay so he accumulated quite a stash

In 2019 I cleared and sorted all his Ferrari parts. The UK dealers seemed to think I had unrealistic expectations on prices. I advertised in FML in summer 2019 and have shifted a lot of stuff to US, Europe, Switzerland and UK.

I do however have a fair few parts left including many 250 and 330 bits, which I am looking to rehome to owners of cars/ restoration workshops etc. I am not interested in selling to brokers.

Regards

Suzie

Hi Suzie,
Don't know how i missed this post. I have been looking for a few 250 GTE bits (window crank handle, correct rear view mirror, correct left hand side mirror). How can I view your list of available parts for 250s and 330s?
