Series I 330 Bodyshell on ebay

Post by Art S. »

Mortal remains of a conversion for sale with a starting bid of $1.

Might be of use, especially if you live in GB and don't have to ship it across the pond.

The same guy has a grill on eBay that might be of interest to you Tom. Of course it looks like it may need as much work as your old one....

The front and rear glass looks good. How hard is it to find a windshield if you pick up a rock?

The seller must have gotten an offer he couldn't refuse as the auction ended early because the seller no longer had the item for sale.

For those who are interested, the serial number of the car this body was attached to was 6477. You can read the history at:
http://www.parrotbyte.com/330GTRegistry/?6477
with a little bit more on:
http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Fer ... 330.GT.htm

It was interesting tracking this down. With some help on where to look, the seller found '070' stamped on the hood latch strut.

With that Pininfarina body number, I looked up in Hilary Raab's serial number book and came up with 6477, a RHD 330 GT that had been turned into a 330 GTO replica. The seller then confirmed that it was RHD and further found 6477 scratched on the underside of the driver's door sill plate. The stamped chassis number section of the frame had been cut out (probably welded on the replica's new chassis) and the aluminum VIN plate was also gone.

Regards, Kerry

PS, the seller withdrew the auction while this research was going on. I don't know what he plans on doing now.
