Well, I ended up purchasing a battery from sears. A g27 international. It fits great and looks pretty good after removing all the stickers. The battery that got me started on searching for a repro was one I saw at last years Monterey show. It was a yellow 275 gtb restored by Norbert Hofer. This engine bay was beautiful complete with the old style battery,6 red caps,etc..I sent a photo of this battery to antiquebattery.com and they have it. I might get one when the rest of the engine bay gets sorted out. On to more important restoration issues.......thanks everyone for your input!.... matt

I ran across this Fiamm ad in a 1964 Italian car magazine. It shows contemporary photos of their batteries along with the Fiamm horn line including Roadmasters (commonly installed on Ferraris of that time).

You can click on the scan for a full-sized more detailed picture.

I one purchase on of these batteries from antiguebattery.com and it leaked battery acid like crazy. Did a job on the paint. The problem was with the tar top which did not hold the battery acid in. They sent me more tar to melt on but to no use. I tossed them. Maybe your battery is not a tar top and maybe they have improved. If you get one let me know.
