Borani Wheel Refurb

Post by cog »

Hi All

I have a set of Borani's on my 330 that have tarnished rims. I've found that I can send them to a Borani dealer and get them refurbished for about £1000/wheel which seems very steep considering all I need done are the rims polished and coated. Does anyone no of any DIY techniques or any companies offering this more modest capability in the UK?

Any metal polishing company can polish the rims, or you can do them yourself! Wear gloves and a mask!

Was that price from MWS (Langley, near Slough)?

It does sound expensive.

Good morning Terry for me the best address in GB is :

Will Tomkins from

Turrinowirewheels.com

Excl service and quality for reasonable pricing.

He did over al least 5 sets for me including new tires and balancing

Restaurating and new produced wheels.

best

C. Thank you for that information. It’s a supplier I had not heard of before.

The price was from Borrani up north. I was advised that the Borrani identification marking might be wiped out by any non-Borrani company. I don't know if that counts for much though.

Suggest posting pics of the wheels to get better info on DIY.
