Art, Thx for answering the "m" question.

John Ashburne, if I go to see it, I will contact you. Currently have no plans to do so unless someone has a real interest and wants us to take a gander; although as close as it is my curiosity level is rising. Still, don't want to waste owner's time. LJH

Thanks to all those that chimed in on my initial question. I am going to have to pass on this one, but for those who are interested, the owner did tell me he is selling because he can't afford the storage anymore, so it sounded like he was motivated. Just over the phone, he knocked it down to $50k. I bet $45k would get it done. Whether the car is even worth that much remains to be seen. He did say he was tired of the phone tire-kickers. Sounded to me like an honest buyer could make a good buy, knowing there would definitely be some resurrection service required on the car.

Art, thanks. I've never seen that abbreviation.

If that's true about the selling price on the 330 4HL, I'm smiling.

John,

S/N 4001 is now my car which I purchased from Heritage in December 2002 for that price (which included California sales tax). 51000 miles and is in quite good order. The previous owner had put about $7,000 into it just before selling it. (tires, brakes, tuneup, etc).

Rudy:

Congratulations on your purchase! That is a beautiful color combination and it sounds as though you have found a rarity for a car 40 years old: well-maintained and preserved enough to be used and admired without the need for a restoration.

Well done!
