Tom's Dashboard

Tom:

That dash looks great. I'm afraid you're inspiring me to disassemble mine,
(very early 330 2+2, painted dash), rebuild the tach and clock, fix the air vents, and clean and polish it up - paint is in excellent shape with exception of a couple of tiny dings and vinyl is like new. I see another project coming.

Tom: As I watch your progress with your car, now the terrific work on the dash, I can not help but wonder if in in an earlier life you were aside the great Enzo at Modena, building the early cars! Michael Bayer, #9727, 1967 330GT

Thanks guys.

Just think, if I keep this work up on more cars, how good I can get in 10-20 years!

I think that this is Tom's secret retirement strategy. Soon enough (after his new kid turns 30 and leaves the house) he will ditch his day job with Dave and open a very focused resto shop. He will only work on "by invitation" basis only, and will charge an "artisan appropriate amount".
Natural talent and a Francois appreniceship are the foundation for this strategy, yes, and it very clever. I only wish I had his patience.

Hi Luke,

You know me all too well!

Maybe with 20 years of practice, I'll be ready for customers.
