Abete color

Post by Enzo250GTO »

Does anyone have this color on their car? If so could you email me a photo?

andrew-at-ferrariforum.net

Or could you tell me what the color looks like. Thanks.

Andrew,

Sorry I can't help, but if you find some pictures, I'd love to add them to my color decoder page:

Jon,

Will do. I love your site. First time I've seen it. Great info. Here is my color list. Looks like you have some I don't and vice versa.

However, I don't have pictures for the colors

AFAIK verde abete savid 20258 may only have been used on two 250GTs in 1960 (1829GT & 2381GT) so finding pictures may be difficult.

Meanwhile, Jonathan, you are welcome to pick photos og Argento Autuil 106.E.16 (correct color code!) as repainted by factory in 1967 at:

Kare,

I'm not sure what AFAIK so I have no idea what that means. So abete is a kind of green?

abete literal translation is 'fir' (tree). So yes, this is a shade of green, probably close to the green of a fir needle.

BTW (by the way), AFAIK is 'as far as I know'.

Argento Auteuil

Post by kare »

To correct my earlier statement: correct color code for Argento Auteuil is 106-E-1, not 106-E16 as I claimed earlier in this thread.

Best wishes, Kare

Hi Kare,

Thanks for the offer - I will add the Argento Autuil pictures.

To everyone, I apologize for not updating my site in forever. I have found the lost files, so now just need to get my updates finished. Tom, I really salute you for having kept this great website up to date - I appreciate how hard that is!

Cheers,
Jon
