Hi Tom,

Besides a tap to get it started, I didn't see anything wrong with my clock after sitting for a few years. As with any mechanical clock, it's always better to keep them ticking to distribute the lubrication, but I'm so far O.K.

I spoke to Mike today, but I guess I was lucky. The number I have is correct, so be patient, and keep trying.

I just spoke to Matt, Mike's partner at D&M Restoration, so I guess the phone number (800-722-0854) is good. They charge $130-140 to rebuild the Veglia clock. I am going to send mine in along with the plastic faces and have it rebuilt. I'll let everyone know how well it works when I get it back.
