F430 & 250 GTE Drawing

Post by Tom Wilson »

Ferrari released photos of the new F430 on the Owners Site today. I thought you guys might like to see some shots I took of a test car that my kids and I chased through Maranello in early July.

I also went to the Museum, which was a disapointment. I missed the 2+2 exhibit and saw a rather wimpy V8 display. However, they had forgotton to take down a 1/5 scale drawing of the 250 GTE dated 11-03-60. The reflections from the case make it a little hard to see, but hopefully you get the idea. The original is clearer, but it loses resolution when shrunk to fit on the web.

Isn't the usual problem that people can't reach Kerry's site? I couldn't even get that picture to come up!

When I email this address to myself, it works. So, lets try it again:

OK! That worked for me at least!

Please note that the second photo was taken about 2 seconds before the passenger looked up, saw our cameras and yelled "Oh #%$*&@#" in Italian. The third is them blasting away on the wrong side of the road to get away. The chase definately made up for the museum experience.

We also saw a yellow version of the car earlier, but we were a little late with the cameras and our only photo is from a distance.
