What a wonderful web site. Too much fun. I had a Midnite Blue/Tan 1960 250 2+2 in 1969 and sold it in 1970 after 18 months of glorious fun. My new wife never did figure it out. She liked the attention, but hated the down time of 2 to 8 weeks for gathering parts to put it back together after something broke. So now we are in Mercedes and nothing breaks and it sure is boring. Even my E500 dosen't evoke the memories of that 250 Ferrari. I have owned 10 Porsches and I still covet that Ferrari. Does anyone have a 250 2+2 or sale?

Hi Doug,
I'm glad you liked the site! Blue/Tan is one of my favorite color combinations! An 18 month affair with a Ferrari was a short one, but obviously a memorable one!
I may have a couple of leads, but you first have to decide how nice (read, expensive) of a car you want!

I also prefer the GTE in dark blue. My car is presently silver- it was originally dark blue with an orangy/saddle interior. One day it will go back to blu scuro. However, another dark blue I love is on the Rob Walker/Stirling Moss 61 250 SWB. It was ordered in Jaguar Indigo Blue. Can any Jag afficionado help me get the paint mix formula?

This may be of limited help for your Jag, but PPG has a paint color library at (440) 572-2800 that may be able to fax you formulas. I used them to choose a color for my 330 - I had every Ferrari blue from the correct year mixed in laquer, sprayed them out, then duplicated the color in a modern paint.
