Wheels vs. Finances

Post by wwwboard »

One interesting thing I have noted recently at the Concorso and other venues: the relationship between the wealth of the car's owner and the method and duration of polish of the car's Borrani wheels.

The most well-to-do folks will have someone spend four hours or so polishing each wheel, with the wheels off the car.  It will hurt your eyes to look at these wheels on a sunny day, they're so bright.

Medium-wealthy guys might have someone spend an hour or two on each wheel, possibly with the car on a lift, rather than wheels-off.

Many regular folks do their own wheels, taking them off the car if sufficiently fanatical.

My wife polished my wheels for the Concorso, which made me feel lucky, if not rich.

Hi Deane,

It was great meeting you and your wife, and seeing your car at Concorso! The hard work showed in a beautifully prepared car!

If your wife polished the wheels, you ARE lucky! Most of our significant others just tolerate our obsessions, but to participate, that's impressive!
