cost of rebuilding v12

Anybody know what it costs to rebuild a (330) v12? I've heard reports of $20k for a full rebuild, but that seems awefully excessive. What parts are Ferrari specific (roller rockers?, pistons?)? Do you really need to have previous Ferrari experience?
Thanks for any insights you can add. There is a 330GT up for auction that I presume needs a rebuild. Just trying to get a sense of what that actually entails.
