spark plug wires
spark plug wires
I need new sparkplug wires for my 330 2+2. Who's a good source?
FUK
I have found Ferrari UK / Maranello Concessionaires
to be a great source of later V12 parts e.g. 400i
do not know how much older stuff they have, tho
try mark.langfield@ferrari.co.uk
(note: he is on 'holiday' till jan 26)
phone 011 44 1784 486648 Parts Department
or as they say, Ferrari 'Spares' Department

Hi Bluecat49,
There's a great thread a while back on this topic:

Chris Coios did a great explaination of the process, and I should put it in the "tips" section. Restoration Supply is the way to go for these parts, and will be a lot cheaper than buying it from a Ferrari Supplier. It will also fit a lot better after you take the time to fit and cut each wire. The 330s are done exactly the same way.

To solder the Rajah terminals to your solid core wire, cut a few little snips of solder and drop them into the terminal, next to the stripped and bent end of the wire you've inserted into the terminal. Then use one of those cool butane hand torches to carefully heat the terminal until the solder melts and flows.
Of course, it's best to do this on your workbench rather than near the engine compartment. You can get the torch for $19 at costco. Or $100 for the same thing sold through cooking stores, to brown the tops of creme brulee.
