Chuck McCreight passes after battle with cancer

Post by abrent »

Chuck McCreight passed away yesterday after a 2 year battle with a Brain Tumor. Many of us will remember that he was on this board as 67GTC, and owned a 330GTC for many years.
A frequent participant in the Monterey Weeklong events, Chuck always managed to be just a little more outrageous than those around him.

We are going to miss you mate.

Sympathy cards for Connie McCreight can go to their home: Please PM me for the address.
Church services to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th, at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church – Westchester, 8540 La Tijera Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045.
Services will be presided over by Pastor Paul Langford.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the UCLA Neuro-Oncology Program, in the name of Charles R. McCreight, at http://www.giving.ucla.edu/braincancerresearch.

My condolences go out to Chuck's family. I'll miss his presence in Monterey.

I first met Chuck at one of my tomyang.net parties in Monterey. He was a regular at the party with his nice 330GTC. After initial introductions, Chuck asked, "Tom, do you enjoy fine wines?" I wasn't sure if he was serious, but tried my best to answer his loaded question. As I got to know him, I learned here was a guy who lived big.

Francois did the PPI on Chuck's GTC and he's loved it every minute of ownership. He drove the piss out of that car! I hope the car finds a good home.

Where ever you are, Chuck, we're going to miss your company, and the two bottles of wine stashed in the back of your car!

Chuck did indeed live large. His GTC was his pride and joy and there was nothing he liked better than talking about Ferrari's (while smoking cigars and tasting good wine, of course!). I will indeed miss him. RIP

Chuck
We will miss you,but up there with Enzo now you can drink lots of good wine, the GTC always runs well and there are no speeding tickets.
Chuck was a great guy I attended many events with him, FCA runs, Cavallino and The Ortega Run. He will be missed by all who knew him.
