I ordered some Collars from GT car parts and notice they seem to be a little long and have a slight flare at the ends.
Originals look to be shorter and no flare - however, with the new lines and there respective diameters you cannot fit the old collars to the new lines.
Also - i see newco sells the collars as well - and according to their web site have a specific measurement in the length.
Has anyone order any collars from Newco with the shorter collars?
Are newco's cad or zinc plated?

Re: Fuel Line Collars
Hi Ed, I recently inspected the Newco collars a good friend just purchased, they looked to be properly cad plated.
I also ended up with some GT collars that I decided not to use, they appear to be the unmodified McMaster Carr parts that have been Cad. plated
I recommend doing a search using the word "ferrule" instead of collar, or try yellow fuel line/hose. You will find much more information.

Re: Fuel Line Collars
Thanks - will do
The cad plating was not my big concern, it was the size and the length.
It does look like the ones at Newco are more accurate to my originals, length and opening at the fitting .
Ill order up some from Neil - probably send back the ones from GT car parts.
Thanks for the info

Hi Ed, I got mine from GT Car Parts, they were longer by a few millimeters. I shaved an aluminum rod so it slides inside the ferrule (tight fit), then just chuck it up and cut off the excess. You want the fit to be tight and the grip of the jaws to be light. Don't force the bit into the work and your ferrule will come out nice and unbruised. These were cut.
