Radiator Overflow Hose
Hi guys, what is the correct look for this hose? Is it supposed to be clear or colored? Mine is by now opaque and brownish in color. Thanks for your help.

Hi John,
I believe it's supposed to be translucent cream colored?

John: For a PF Coupe, I agree with Tom.
Re: Radiator Overflow Hose
Need to figure out how to "age" the clear vinyl.

Thanks guys. This is 1/4" fuel line used for leaf blowers, etc. Would this look about right? Thanks again.

Dyke, by the way, I am asking the question for a Lusso, not the PF coupe. Thanks.

Too green in my opinion. Later cars used a green hose like this, but the older cars (250s) used a cream colored hose or at least a clear hose that aged with time.

Re: Radiator Overflow Hose
If your car has an over flow tank or surge tank, it is connected to the radiator with a ribbed black rubber hose. The cap on the radiator has no spring, and has a simple flat rubber gasket. The cap on the over flow cap has the spring and regulates the pressure to the system, that is why you have a ribbed rubber hose, that hose is pressurized with the cooling system. The early cars (250s, and SI 330s) have overflow hoses from the radiator that simply drains to the ground, hence the clear vinyl hose.tim wrote:Greetings... Re: Radiator Overflow Hose
GTE #2693 has a rigid metal tube soldered to the neck and goes across the tank and terminates open at the bottom tank.

Re: Radiator Overflow Hose
Bob, this is how the earlier radiators are equipped. My PF coupe is like that.
