Has anybody fitted this size tire to their GTE- 205VR15 CN72 HS Cinturato? I know the OE size is the 185VR15 CA56 Cinturato but I have a spare set of wider 3801 Borannis which could take the CN72s. I read somewhere that 330 Americas had 3801s and were fitted with the CN72s. I don't think Americas had larger wheelwells than my S1 GTE so should work. What did Lussos have for tires on 3801s originally ? Can somebody post a pic of a GTE with Cinturato CA56 vs CN72s? Finally, I do not want to fit a 70 series tire - leaves too much wheelwell exposed.
Thanks
C

OK - no response yet... and I really need to get going on this.
Any Lusso owners fitted 185 80 15s on 3801s? I used to have a Lusso but can't remember what I used.
Thanks

Though the 185/70 is the right size tire for the GTE's and the Lussos, a many of these cars ride on 205/70 tires, simply because some prefer the look of the fatter tire.

You can use this tire size calculator to compare sizes -> https://tiresize.com/comparison/
185/78-15 is 26.4" in diameter while 205/70-15 is 26.3", so they should be roughly the same for filling out the wheel well. If the original tires were 80 series rather than 78, then the 185/80-15 diameter would be 26.7", so the 205/70's would be .4" smaller. A 215/70-15 would be 26.9", or .2" larger than 185/80, though I don't know if clearance would be a problem and 215 seems far too wide for the car.

Here is a pic of my Lusso with 3801's on Avon 205/70 15's. Not correct for the car but they fit.
