I bought a Voxson 8 track but it is missing the knob shaft nuts that secure it to the console face. They are mm13 x 1, and about 3 or 4mm thick and 17 ATF. I’ve extensively searched the web and they are not readily available and are difficult to cross reference to other radios. I know for sure the Becker Europa nuts are too small.
It’s probably a long shot but does anyone have any lying around they would part with?
Thanks for reading, Tom in SoCal.

Hi Tom, it's called a "panel nut" in case no one here come thru for you. You may also check with shops that service vintage car radios.

Thanks for the reply John.
I’ve contacted two radio shops so far, a Blaupunkt guy and the guy that did the restoration, no luck. Does anyone know of a Voxson specialist?
It’s not a common thread, McMaster Carr does not have any type of nut with that thread.
I thought they were called panel nuts too but one radio guy calls them shaft nuts.
Maybe I will need to buy a tap and make some, I hope not.
Tom.

Tom, once you get past M8, odd number metric fasteners are uncommon. The M10 nut is typically 17mm ATF.

Thanks for the link, I just found those too, but I had already bought a tap and made 5. I modified a US standard 1/2-13 nut, retapped it and faced it down to the desired thickness. I’m lucky to have access to a small lathe.

A good DIY solution. Pleased to hear you sorted it. And yes, a lathe is a 'must have' item to keep old cars and bikes going.
