I inherited a '59 Ellena (0863).
My dad did not take especially good care of it, and it needs lots of TLC, reparation, restoration and repair.
Like most of the car, the radiator is working (no leaks) but is pretty ratty, with corroded (and some bent) fins.
Any suggestions on where to have the radiator core replaced with a "correct" one (i. e. steel "corrugated"fins)?
The shop I have taken it to is suggesting that a modern core with copper fins (flatter and wider apart than the original) will give better performance.
Any opinions or suggestions welcome.

Hi Robert,
My 330 America has the original radiator and I had concerns about it's efficiency in hot weather, but I haven't found a problem yet. I let it idle last week in 85 degree weather for about 20 minutes without a problem. I beleive the electric fans make all the difference.
Where to get an original core, I don't know!
