The side to side play is probably what Steve it talking about. Those bushings have to be fabricated from bronze bushings or shim stock. Your Ferrari Mechanic will know.

Re: 1967 330GT sale at Amelia
Hi Michael,
Has it really been 10 years already?! It seems like yesterday when you bought that car from my client, and you came to NY on that cold winter's day to drive the car. Good luck at the auction, and I'll see you in Amelia Island!

Hi Pete,
I'm not sure of the color history of this car.

Re: GTC4 stuck in reverse gear - help
Each car is different, but the C/4 transmission shouldn't be too hard. The biggest challenge is releasing the stupid plastic clip that holds the chrome shifter cover to the shift lever, but it looks like you already did that! The clamps that secure the drive shaft inside the torque tube have to loos...

Re: GTE Seat Foam
Hi Ron - I’m surprised Tom did not mention the time and effort he put into carving seat foam pieces back in 2003. Or perhaps you already found those Blog posts from back then. Sagging front seats is my problem too. Here in the UK owners of Jaguars are well served by suppliers of interior trim parts...

Re: GTC4 stuck in reverse gear - help
Sorry to hear you're having problems. It sounds like something in the linkage has worked itself loose. Unfortunately, access to the top of the gearbox will require you drop the transmission. The 330 comes out from inside the passenger compartment, but the C/4 drops from below after you disconnect th...

Re: GTE Seat Foam
Hi Ron, As far as I know, no one makes the foam for these seats, and they're usually carved from foam blocks. Since your car is a SIII, the elastic bands have probably stretched and lost their support. It's not easy to remove the leather covers, rebuild the foam, and reinstall the old covers, but I ...

Re: 330GTC Steering Wheeel Hub Removal
Hi Terry, The steering column hub is a tapered fit to the steering shaft, but often needs a puller. Try some heat on the aluminum hub and a sharp tap from a plastic or lead hammer. The hub puller you use has to push against the hollow steering shaft, but be careful not to damage the threads. You'll ...

Re: Vacuum port at Weber 36 DCS carburettor?
Removing the air filter assembly doesn't seem that bad on a GTE and probably takes about 5 min, especially since you don't have to deal with vacuum lines or even fuel lines like on a Daytona! I was taught to screw the air filter housing with two nuts until we were sure the carbs were tuned properly ...

Re: 330GTC Dim Headlights
Hi Terry, A simple test is to get some wire and bypass the switch to make sure the voltage drop is not inside the switch. These headlight switches often fail because they can't handle the amount of current the headlights draw. Jim Simpson at ODD parts can rebuild these switches. A relay can be added...

Re: TURN SIGNAL WOES ON MY 330 GTC
When you flick the turn signal switch on your steering column, it energizes the circuit through the flasher. Think of the flasher can as a circuit breaker, and as the current running through it heats the internals up trips the circuit and cuts the current. As it cools, it reconnects until it heats u...

Re: 330 GT Series ll recommended spark plugs and gap
I use NGK as well BP6ES is what I used, but they no longer make non resistor plugs part #7333. They all have resistors. Some people run a 7 heat range, but I have found the hotter plug helps prevent fouling, but most people run either 6s or 7s with NGK. Other plug manufacturers list heat ranges diff...

I just measured hoods on both a SI and a SII car and the opening for the hood pads is dimensionally similar to within 1/2 an inch to each other.

Re: 330GT trunk lid seal differences?
the SI seal is for 250GTEs, and I don't believe were installed on the 330s. The SII seal in your pictures would be more correct for your interim car. That seal glues to the deck lid, and there is a thin u-shaped seal (some say plastic, some say rubber) for the pinch weld around the trunk opening on ...
