Re: seat belts

I was told that a proper shoulder belt needed to be attached above the shoulder height, where there is no place to do so in a GTE. The theory is that having it attach low would cause downward compression in the spine and shoulder when the body was thrown forward. Does this sound correct or worse tha...

Fuses

Who makes/sells decent fuses? Mine tend to have the metallic strip fall off wt random times and my latest one melted down the plastic without melting the strip! Hopefully someone makes ones that are better than those on Amazon... And as long as we are at it, what are the correct size fuses for each ...

Re: Engine Bay Lights

I do have the light. The mounting holes are below where the tape arrow is pointing, so the mounted light will be squarely behind the hose, making it useless. The brackets for the hoses were not moved during restoration. Am I missing something?

Engine Bay Lights

Does your GTE have lights on both sides of the engine bay? The drivers side on my car has two screw holes where I would expect it to be, but it would be sandwiched between two hoses. The one on the passenger side is out in the open.

Re: California-to-GTE Re-body?

It is the body of 4803 GT, which has been converted to a Short Wheelbase replica. Brian Hoyt (Perfect Reflections) had the replica made and sold the body separately. So it is unlikely that this seller dismantled the GTE.

Sheehan

This does not sound good... DEAR FRIENDS, CLIENTS AND SUBSCRIBERS Effective 08 May of this year Colleen Sheehan, my daughter, and I have unfortunately parted ways. In the last week Colleen has sent out misleading e-mails to friends, clients and the Ferraris Online subscriber lists. As of Monday, 27 ...

Those parts looked familiar, but I guess not! Probably comes from all the time I spent with those drawings...

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

Got my new "old" battery today from Jim's Battery. Yes, it is not exactly like the one in the Owner's Manual but still looks great in the engine bay. Expensive yes, but it gets a lot of comments at shows and makes me happy.

Re: Vintage Style Battery Manufacturers

As luck would have it, my replica battery just died. It lasted 3 1/2 years and I am sure it would have lasted longer had I not left the lights on in the car overnight... I emailed Jim's Battery again and this time they responded in only 3 1/2 weeks! They say it is still available and lead time is 3-...
