Hi Everyone.
I am sometimes asked by families to find a car that has slipped from their grasp usually due to the death of the owner.
I have been contacted by the family of the late John Carey to see if I can help them find the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE SN 4147 that the family lost to an auction house after John's death in the 1970's.
According to Barchetta the car was at Essen with IMBU, a company from Antwerp in 2017. If my research is correct, IMBU closed in 2022. I am trying to track down the name of the owner of IMBU as we speak to see if he can provide any details.
I live in Antwerp so the car might be very close to me.
I understand privacy rights but could someone assist me in this search if you have a record of who the current owner is? I did reach out to Tom Wilson from the 250GTE registry and he does have the owner in his database and has reached out to him to no avail. Although his request might be in the owner's spam folder.
If someone know who owns the car is it possible to make contact and let them know that we are trying to find the car?
Please send me a PM if anyone can help or has a suggestion.
Yours in Cars,
Kelly Dietrick
