ULTRASONIC CLEANING OF CARBURETOR PARTS
Tom, In one of your most recent blogs you mentioned ultrasonic cleaning carburetor parts on a 330 GTC. What are you currently using as your ultrasonic cleaning fluid, do you put the parts in a separate bag of that agent, and then in the bath of hot water? Thanks, Steve.

Re: ULTRASONIC CLEANING OF CARBURETOR PARTS
Hi Steve,
I have a jug of carburetor cleaning fluid that I googled years ago and use it diluted with water. Amazon sells a bunch of that stuff, but almost any kind of soap will work. Dawn dish soap works fine, and even dishwashing machine soap in powder form. Just be careful how strong the solution is because the machine soap can be caustic and stain the alloy parts.
I put the small pieces like needles and jets in a mason jar and submerge it in the tank.
Depending on how dirty the parts are, you may have to change out the soap cycle after one carb. After the soap cycle, I run the cleaner with fresh water.
Good luck.
Tom
